A new line of high power density AC induction motors is unveiled as “purpose-built for top drives, mud pumps, drawworks, and rotary tables.”
Among key motor benefts are ability to drill deeper, faster, and more efficiently along with making longer horizontal runs plus to increase pump pressure.
In motors ranges from 450 to 2,000 hp, models are designed to deliver up to 50% more power and torque within the same frame size that is standard for each application. Standard 400 hp frame sizes deliver up to 600- hp; standard 600 hp frame sizes up to 800 hp, standard 1150 hp frame sizes up to 1350 hp, and standard 1500 hp up to 1600, 1800, and 2000 hp.
Induction motor designs feature identical frame size and weight of standard lower horsepower types. They comprise proprietary intra-slot cooling technologies along with fully optimized copper-to-steel ratios.
With improved coil slot and bar geometries, models lower nominal rpm rate at the same hpzº levels. They have spre-delivery systematic electrical stress testing.
