Ward Leonard Introducing New Motors at the 2013 Offshore Technology Conference

THOMASTON, CT, Feb. 18, 2013 — Ward Leonard Electric Company, a leading provider of motors, controls and integrated solutions for powering oil and gas exploration, is launching new motors to be used in mud pumps, draw works, top drives and rotary tables. The new motors will be unveiled at the 2013 Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston, Texas where Ward Leonard will be exhibiting in booth # 8201 in the Reliant Center Arena.

Ward Leonard offers form wound and random wound motors that are available in standard ratings from 400HP to 1500HP for various industries worldwide. The motors feature a certified Class H – fully taped and sealed – insulation system that provides a solid barrier to dust, sand, oil and water and helps to extend the life of the motors.

Ward Leonard also offers motor control solutions for oil and gas drilling rigs. These control houses contain Variable Frequency Drives and other critical control elements needed to run drill rig applications.
