Thomaston, CT, September 3, 2020 – Ward Leonard, a leading electric motor, generator, control, and service solution provider for critical Naval, commercial marine, energy, and industrial applications worldwide, is pleased to announce that William (Bill) Berger has been selected to serve on the Congressional Engagement/Action Days Planning Committee of the Aircraft Carrier Industrial Base Coalition (ACIBC).
Mr. Berger has been a Business Development Manager at Ward Leonard for eight years, where he is responsible for Ward Leonard’s relationship with most of the large U.S. shipyards and focuses on Ward Leonard’s military motor controller solutions. Since joining Ward Leonard, he has been the company’s primary interface with Congressional offices and the organizations that promote Naval shipbuilding to Congress.
Throughout his career, Mr. Berger has worked with electronics and telecommunications networks in defense, private and public markets. Mr. Berger started his career as an Operational Communications Officer in the Marine Corps where he deployed to Desert Shield/Desert Storm with 1st Battalion, 3rd Marines. Mr. Berger is also a past president of the Marine Machinery Association and currently is an at-large member of their Executive Committee. He holds a BA in Mathematics from the College of the Holy Cross and a MS in Organizational Leadership from Quinnipiac University.
Founded in 2004, the ACIBC is an organization comprised of businesses that supply parts, equipment, and services for the construction and maintenance of U.S. Navy aircraft carriers.
